Last updated: October 6, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Visitor Tracking Solution (“VTS”, “we”, “us” or “our”) collects, uses and protects personal information when you visit visitortrackingsolution.com, request an audit, subscribe to our newsletter or contact us. We work with eCommerce brands in the United States, the United Kingdom and the European Union, so this policy is written with the GDPR, UK GDPR and US state privacy laws (including the California Consumer Privacy Act) in mind.

1. Who we are

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Audit and contact forms: your name, business name, website URL, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, the ad platforms you use, the tracking problems you describe and any other details you choose to share.
  • Newsletter: your email address.
  • Direct communication: anything you send us by email, WhatsApp, LinkedIn or during a call.
  • Job applications: your CV, LinkedIn profile, portfolio and any other information you send when applying through our Career Opportunity page.

Information collected automatically

When you browse our website, we and our technology partners may automatically collect information such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, time spent on pages, the website that referred you, approximate location (city or country) and interactions such as clicks and form submissions. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies described in Section 5.

3. How we use your information

  • To respond to your enquiries and deliver the free or paid audits you request.
  • To provide, manage and invoice our services.
  • To send our newsletter and occasional updates, when you have subscribed (you can unsubscribe at any time).
  • To understand how visitors use our website and improve its content and performance.
  • To measure and improve our own advertising campaigns.
  • To review job applications.
  • To keep our website secure and comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Legal bases for processing (EU / UK visitors)

  • Consent — for the newsletter and for non-essential analytics and advertising cookies.
  • Contract — when we process information to prepare a proposal or deliver services you have asked for.
  • Legitimate interests — to respond to business enquiries, run and secure our website and improve our services, where these interests are not overridden by your rights.
  • Legal obligation — where we must keep records for tax, accounting or legal purposes.

5. Cookies and tracking technologies

Our website uses Google Tag Manager to manage measurement tools. Depending on your location and choices, these may include:

  • Analytics cookies (such as Google Analytics 4) that help us understand how visitors use the site.
  • Advertising pixels and conversion tags (such as Meta, Google Ads and TikTok) that help us measure and improve our own ads.
  • Server-side tracking, where event data is first sent to a server we control (for example, hosted by Stape) before being shared with analytics or advertising platforms. This lets us limit and control the data those platforms receive.
  • Essential cookies needed for the website, forms and security to work.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. You can also opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, and manage ad personalization through Google Ad Settings and your Meta ad preferences. Blocking cookies may affect how parts of the website work.

6. How we share information

We share personal information only with trusted service providers that help us run our business, and only as needed. These include:

  • Website hosting and WordPress plugin providers.
  • Analytics and advertising platforms (such as Google, Meta and TikTok).
  • Server-side tracking infrastructure (such as Stape).
  • Email, newsletter and communication tools (such as Google Workspace and WhatsApp).
  • Automation and productivity tools we use to manage enquiries (such as n8n and Google Sheets).

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights, or as part of a business transfer such as a merger or acquisition.

Client data: when we work on a client’s store, ad accounts or analytics, we act as a service provider (data processor) on that client’s behalf and only process their data according to their instructions and our agreement with them.

7. International data transfers

We are based in Bangladesh, and our service providers may store data in the United States, the European Union or other countries. When personal information from the EU or UK is transferred to countries without an adequacy decision, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses offered by our providers.

8. How long we keep information

  • Enquiries and audit requests: up to 24 months after our last contact, unless you become a client.
  • Client records: for the length of our engagement and as long as required for legal, tax and accounting purposes.
  • Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
  • Job applications: up to 12 months, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
  • Analytics data: according to the retention settings of the analytics tool (for Google Analytics, typically 14 months).

9. Your privacy rights

EU and UK residents have the right to access, correct or delete their personal information, restrict or object to processing, request data portability, and withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

California and other US state residents may have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion or correction, and opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not sell personal information. To opt out of advertising-related sharing through pixels on our site, contact us or use the browser and ad-settings options in Section 5. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

To make a request, email info@visitortrackingsolution.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding and will reply within the time required by applicable law (usually within 30 days).

10. Data security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, including HTTPS encryption, access controls and trusted service providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Children’s privacy

Our website and services are intended for businesses and are not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

12. Third-party links

Our website may link to other websites and platforms, such as LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook and WhatsApp. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, and we are not responsible for them.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Please check this page periodically for updates.
